- Since 1950, Marumitsu has been making pottery that is diverse in choice of material and utilises both traditional and modern techniques. With the belief that function is at the heart of design, local potters bring a high-quality, artisanal touch to their collections, as well as a unique French flair. The Marumitsu pottery is made in Seto, Aichi, Japan, a place which is home to the kilns with the longest production history in Japan

Its warm texture and smooth finish are the result of applying a matte glaze to black clay. This cup is perfect for containing drinks such as sencha or a latte
