The brand was founded on the ethos and goal to create linen home essentials that were as close to 100% domestic as possible, meaning: grown, processed, woven, and sewn in the United States. While the founders eagerly await the long-dormant American linen industry's revival (where the first flax will begin growing again in Oregon), MADRE is proud to source their Oeko-Tex Belgian-grown linen from a Lithuanian mill that runs on green energy
