Marumitsu Poterie White Barbarie Plate

• Since 1950, Marumitsu has been making pottery that is diverse in choice of material and utilises both traditional and modern techniques. With the belief that function is at the heart of design, local potters bring a high-quality, artisanal touch to their collections, as well as a unique French flair. The Marumitsu pottery is made in Seto, Aichi, Japan, a place which is home to the kilns with the longest production history in Japan

• The flower-shape, particular to Japanese tableware, but with a French twist is what makes the Barbarie design so unique. Originally designed to enjoy duck meat, the duck logo on the bottom of the plate is a reminder of its origin. The white glaze gives the a brilliant finish
