- Hakuhodo Sumitani Saburo Shōten was founded in 1939 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, where copper smelting tradition stretches back 400 years to the Edo period. The town is renowned for its skilled artisans who work with copper, brass and bronze, designing decorative, ornamental and Buddhist ware
